Jair Ramirez (5.02.24)

Colombian born Jair Ramirez is Co founder and owner of FREEDOM2FLY and is a highly-skilled internationally acclaimed Circus performer.

Jair completed his Circus and physical theatre studies at Circo Para Todos- Cali and Circo Ciudad - Bogotá​. His awards include The 2020 New Zealand Fringe “International San Diego Fringe exchange Award.” (Wellington NZ), the 2018 Ministry of Colombia “Best Circus Solo Act” (Colombia) and the 2015 Circus Maximus “Judges Award” (London UK)

The BBC described Jair’s performance as one of the “highlights from Edinburgh Fringe Festival” in 2016. Other media have said:

Jessica Ramirez (5.02.24)

Jess is Co founder and owner of FREEDOM2fly and has travelled the world performing and teaching as a professional dancer/aerialist and is delighted to now be living her in Raglan with Jair and their two children.

Born in Te Awamutu, Jessica started her international performing career as a dancer. After graduating from ED5 Performing Arts course in Sydney 2005, she carried onto London, and abroad - travelling the world, performing onboard cruise ships.

Jess developed a love, passion and slight addiction for aerials and found her background in dance to be extremely complementary.

Teaching enables Jess to share the joy of aerials with fellow dancers, “fitness freaks” (like herself) and the younger generations.
